A Christian Tradition

Gospel Reading I was born into a Christian family.  My father had been a follower of Christ since 16, my mother earlier.  I was attending church regularly before I was able to know what church was.  I attended Christian school, and it was there, one early morning before class that at a teacher’s leading, I asked Jesus to come into my life and be my personal Savior.

Did this prayer save me?  I don’t believe that it is the prayer that saves you.  In reality, my belief in Christ before that prayer might have already saved me, or it could have come later in the story.  It was at that time, however, that I decided that I would live a life for Christ.
