After a delay in Washington, D.C. my wife and I arrived in Pigeon Forge for our honeymoon. We had reserved a cabin there called ?Always and Forever? and the honeymoon package came with some neat baskets that were there for us to enjoy.

When we first arrived there was one of the many Gourmet Gift Baskets that they had provided for us for our meals. The first was a dinner basket that included steak, salad and some other food. That was my first time trying to use a grill!

There were Spa Gift Baskets?or something close?that had oils and lotions that were next to the Jacuzzi tub in the master bed room. And there were other Unique Gift Baskets that had a picnic lunch in it.

These baskets were neat because, not only did we not need to have one more meal out, they arrived or were placed in the cabin by someone we never saw. It was kinda neat to come back to the cabin after a day of sightseeing to see a basket that was prepared for us.

And there was so much in these baskets that they lasted for more than one meal.

So guys, don?t just take her out, prepare a basket for her?something that takes some thought. You could put something to eat in it, or get some of the smells she likes from a store in the mall. Take time to add some flowers, or just be creative.

Taking time to put something together says that you are thinking about her.

Sure, we now have excuses:

We?re too tired.

There?s too much to do.

I?ve already won her heart!

We have kids now.

She doesn?t want to do anything.

That last one is the hardest, I think. Why? Because we can let ourselves off the hook now that we?re married where before that wouldn?t have let it stop us.

So, in this series I want to take a look at some things that we can do, as husbands, both big a small to kick start the dating of our wife (if it?s stalled) and give those that are continuing to date some ideas.
