We are actually planning on moving-- closing on the 23rd if all goes as planned. It'll be 15 min avg from my new job. Sounds exciting to get your house paid off!

So did you get the house, MIn??? If you're getting excited about the master bath...maybe I've missed an update...

We have one bathroom with five people and it hasn't been a big deal yet. I love having only one bath, because it's only one to clean! ;) Our bathtub is a built in that would handle jets, but we've never added them. It's super deep and a bit wider than normal. We love it, though it was a trick getting the children bathed in it when they were little! There's actually another bathroom in our home, off of the master bedroom...but we gutted it when we moved in, b/c the former owners had let a leak go and all the tiles were hanging off the walls, mildew had taken over, etc. So we've never made it a priority to rebuild. It's actually part of a bigger addition to our home that also needs a lot of TLC, so we've shut the door on it and don't even use that part of the house. Once we get our mortgage paid off (in less than 4 years!!!) we'll have some extra money to work with for fixer-upper projects.

Can't wait to hear about your housing status!

I think depending on the size of your family, depends on how many bathrooms you have. Growing up I only had 1 and it had to be shared by 4 people, which was insane in the mornings. Now I have 3 which is much more enjoyable.

I'm getting excited simply with the idea of having a master bath with shower. To me, it's like an attached garage-- once you have one it's hard to do without!

Growing up we only had one bathroom for five people. At our last house we had three, one for each kid and hubby and I shared. At our current house we have two bathrooms and the master is quiet tiny!! The kids share and that seems to work since they are at different schools....should be interesting when both are leaving at the same time.
