Thank you for visiting Weekend Kindness-- the blog that helps you build positive relationships! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so that you don't miss a single post from one of our great authors!

Bride by the Sunrise

This whole series has been about big things—things that you would do when money is no object, and you have much at your disposal.  The reason for this is that we, as guys, rarely shoot for the big things, and many times because we do not plan the big things we sometimes let even the small things fall by the wayside.

It’s important that our wives know that we love them—and we can show this using one of the 101 Ways to Say I Love You Without Saying It.  We can use one of the 31 Ways to Say “I Miss You” when we’re apart.  We can even be a geek and use the 101 Ways to Show Your Love to a Geek.  The point is that we must be doing something.

So, guys, my challenge is this.  For once, think bigger than the usual.  Think outside the box.  Plan something that will be different, and surprise her.

I’ve been thinking about a new tagline for Weekend Kindness, and this would be something to kick it off.  Yes, we’ll still be “Reaching Others Through Kindness”, but starting next week, I’d like to change it to “So, What are You Doing This Weekend?”

The implied question is this:  Take time to show love and kindness this weekend.  I don’t care whether you use one of the 101 Dating Ideas, Unusual Date Ideas, or come up with something on your own.  Make this weekend different.  Make it a priority to date your spouse just like you made it a priority before you were married.

If you do, I’m certain you will see the difference.

@Rachel: Good deal. But the real question is, did you get the joke in the 101?

That there were only 5 ways? Yeah, I got it.

Fortunately when you are married to a geek those really are the only 5 ways you need.
