I love hiking. But honestly I don't love the sleeping in tents part, so I normally stay in a nice Lodge or motel or something. I have posted photos of hikes to many great places like: Olympic National Park.

@Rachel: It turns out that the cabin we got does not have A/C (not such a problem in the North East) but it does have Wi/Fi and my wife did put "Laptop" on the list of things to bring.

Still, I'm not so sure that's a good idea. 'Course that could mean she just wants it to check the weather and get directions to things...

Yikes, I'm a no-go on the camping. My hubby was an Eagle Scout so I think he's pretty camped out, too (plus being in the deep South, we really really REALLY like our A/C). But I'll take a hotel with A/C and a swimming pool any day of the week!

@Mary: It looks like we're set up to get the cabin (no A/C or wireless) for the Labor Day weekend. It's a themed camp, so there should be plenty to do.

We do plan on making a trip to the Creation Museum in October and head down south to see family for a couple of weeks. That should be interesting...

That's neat that your wife likes to camp, usually it's the other way around. It's about equal work for both spouses...I let my hubby and daughter set up the tent (oh sometimes I pitch in, but usually I'm going through the ice chest and food items getting ready to fix food) and man the campfires. We were going to camp out with friends this weekend, but between forecasted storms, and my poison sumac, I think we're just going to get together for supper and games instead. Inside. ;)

Hope you get a camp out in this summer...you still have time, and the weather would be lovely for it this fall!
