Crying Girl It was definitely not expected.

I had been following Ashley, a 20 year old SAHM from PA, for at least a month.  Her blog “Help Meet In Training” discussed her life, her Christianity and her desire to be a good helpmeet to her husband.

And then the unthinkable happened.  She announced on April 20th that she was shutting down her blog.  Why?  Marital infidelity.

She has two children (2, 1) and she’s expecting her third in December.  She’s closed down her comments, and I doubt she’ll come back to check, but she could certainly use our prayers.  I don’t know how you would deal with something like this– where you put all your energy into being the best you can for the other person only to be stabbed in the back.

Words cannot express the heartache I feel for this woman.  Pray that our Heavenly Father can touch that heart, mend it, and make it whole.  Also pray that someone will reach out to this family.

I agree that we should pray for this poor soul, BUT, I will pray that she seeks forgiveness. That fact that she beat someone until they bled and refered to a person as an “amputee” as though to degrade them is not what you do as a Christian!
There is no doubt that the husband and the other woman are at fault for commiting adultery, and will pay the price for that sin, but to build your whole life around some one that cheats on you is just plain silly. Better that we NOT turn over our whole self to anyone or thing other than God, who is the only one who will NEVER let us down. I feel for this young girl and her children, but from reading only her “shutting down” post it would seem that she would do all in her power to keep her marriage together. The husband hid his true self or this would not have happened, and Ashley has discovered that life is indeed hard. I will pray that they can work things out in someway as to not punish the children and to mend both of their broken vows and hearts.
