As seems to be the case with me and carnivals, here’s another overdue carnival.

For this edition, we present to you the following links:

Hill Robertson presents You Will Miss the Screaming and Fussing, Don’t Sell Your Soul to Your JOB and Internet Business Success Poem posted at Hill Robertson.

Children

Matthew Spears presents The essence of compassion part 2 posted at Loving Awareness, saying, “This is about spiritual compassion as related to the family of the child that survived abuse. Often it is the non-acceptance of the abuse which adds incredibly to the trauma of the experience. This looks at what compassion is, and how it applies in loving a child that survived abuse.”

Steve Oliphant presents blessings posted at Steve Oliphant’s Musings.

Family

Samuel Bryson presents Christmas & Goats: a Time for Giving posted at Total Wellbeing.

Carole G. McKay presents Packing To Go posted at McKay Today, saying, “As we overemphasize the material aspects of life and often mirror the wrong reality for our children, McKay Today sheds light on what money can and cannot buy from the author’s personal experience.”

Bill presents God’s Word is Alive posted at The Covenant Blessing.

Renae presents Life Nurturing Education » Blog Archive » Real Life posted at Life Nurturing Education, saying, “”The most basic place of our sacramental living is in our marriages and homes and families.” C.S. Lewis”

Tupelo Kenyon presents Is Food Your Medicine or Poison? posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, “Food is not what it used to be. In the relatively recent past, food was universally recognized as the fruits and nuts that grow on trees, the vegetables that grow out of the soil, plus some fish and game. If you were to take a ride in a time machine and show our ancestors what we eat today, they would recognize very little of it. For the most part, it’s over-packaged, over-processed, over-rated and under-nourishing. Every day, we choose our future health and vitality by what we choose to put in our mouths. Three times a day we have the opportunity to act upon our resolve to experience optimum health and vitality . . . at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bon appetit. (Enjoy soothing instrumental music as you read plus song selections with lyrics related to each article – all free.”

James DeLelys presents Am I the Only One? posted at Author James DeLelys, saying, “Prelude to a new book.”

Vandelay Website Design presents A Year of New Beginnings posted at Christian Counseling & Educational Services, saying, “A devotional about the fresh start we are given with each new year.”

Samuel Bryson presents Cycling and your wellbeing: posted at Total Wellbeing.

Tupelo Kenyon presents How to Accelerate Manifestation posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, “Whenever a new desire or grand plan is born within us, the tendency is to share it with others. Every time we talk about it, the energy of the dream seems to deflate a little more, until it becomes merely a topic of idle chatter. Why is that? How can we add to the excitement and urgency of our dreams instead, and speed up their manifestation? (Enjoy soothing instrumental music as you read plus song selections with lyrics related to each article – all free.)”

Kevin Heath presents GOALS vs RESOLUTIONS posted at More4kids.

Theresa L. Twogood presents House Blessing Time posted at OLIN e-Book e-Publishing, saying, “Thanks!”

Marriage

Charles H. Green presents Trust with the Ex: Taking Insanity Out of Divorce posted at Trust Matters, saying, “Sometimes change is for the worst. Divorce is one of those times, but if its going to happen there are ways to do it which can reduce its impact on you, your spouse and your children.”

Lynnae presents Submission is Not a Four Letter Word posted at From Under the Clutter.

Parents

ChristianPF presents Financial lessons from Solomon posted at Money in the Bible | Christian Personal Finance Blog, saying, “The Bible says that Solomon was the richest man who ever lived and also the wisest ever to live. I think that makes him qualified to give some financial advice.”

Kelsey presents How To Raise Independent Children posted at Vanilla Joy – Family Fun and Education, saying, “Smother your children with love and affection, “spoil” them with love (impossible), and they will grow up with that knowledge and have confidence in themselves.”

Teens

Shaun Connell presents The State of American Apologetics posted at Reason and Capitalism, saying, “Shaun Connell cries out the need for rational apologetics rather than the watered down, emotional appeals of much of the church today. Otherwise, generation X will be swept away. We’re already seeing the statistics roll in.”

Wife

Carole G. McKay presents One Minute At A Time posted at McKay Today, saying, “A higher consciousness approach to resolving marital discord while changing self-defeating thoughts and behavior.”

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of godly family using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.

Min, thanks for adding a link to godly finances.  So often, we forget that God has answers to our financial crises, as well as other types of problems.

Well, AG, He does promise to meet all our needs. I just think that we occasionally confuse needs and wants (and with credit that is really easy!).

  5. MyAvatars 0.2 AG Says:

True that.  My dad made an interesting point when I first got married and moved into my husband’s house.  Many Baby Boomers have worked hard their whole lives, saving money and making wise investments, and can now afford a comfortable lifestyle.  Their children, who are just reaching adulthood now, see what their parents have, but haven’t noticed the hard work it took to get those things.  They assume that everyone should have those things, so they use credit to get them.
I’m guilty of this.  My mom’s yard is beautiful and her kitchen and dining room are very elegant – but she’s put a lot of money, sweat, tears, and wisdom into making them that way.  It’s hard for me to remember that as I compare my house to where I grew up.
