If I were to ask you to name, in one word, what you think the root cause of all problems in marriage is, what word would you select?

Well, let’s think about the two greatest commandments: They are, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

There’s something that is a given in those statements– that you will love yourself.

Priolo then expounds upon this concept, applying the love that you are supposed to have for your wife– a love that meets needs. You see, wives are never instructed to love their husbands the way husbands are instructed to love their wives. And then there’s the whole “We men must love our wives as Christ loved the Church.” Jesus was the initiator, He gave his life for the church…
