I take care of stuff like responding to comments during the day when the kids are awake. Stuff like that can be taken care of in small increments of time throughout the day.

I do my actual writing at night. Right now my husband is working nights, so he's usually either at work or napping in the evening after the kids go to bed. That gives me the perfect quiet time for writing, and it doesn't take away from family time.

I love blogging in the early morning, but like you, it seems that at least my toddler wakes up earlier when I do this! My computer area is catty-corner to the girls' bedroom door...

I usually do my blogging during the afternoon rest time. Three year old actually still falls asleep during naptime, and my other two either read in their room or quietly finish up their schoolwork at the kitchen table. Sometimes they play quietly in their room (3 year old sleeps in the master bedroom so they can do this)...anyway, that time is *my* free time.

When hubby is working in his leather shop, or at a meeting, I blog until he gets home. The kids are usually in bed by 8:30 PM, so that gives me a good 2+ hours usually.

I guess...I grab the time when it presents itself!
