WK1 A Success!

Our first challenge has come to a close with a solid turnout of 4 people willing to share their experiences. You can view 3 of these 4 submissions via the Technorati link on the Code page with our 4th entry being Shelli who seems to not be getting indexed. We would like to thank everyone for their submissions and I’d like to personally thank Shari for submitting some great new header graphics and making my life just a bit easier ;)

Be sure to check back on Wednesday for this week’s mission, and let other’s know about this blog meme!

WK 1: This Weekend’s Crew

So, this weeks it’s Me and Mary, Shelli and Shari– boy that’s scary. :)

A few additional pieces of information:

  • You can post before Monday– in fact, we encourage it! That way we’ll be able to link to all of your posts on Monday
  • The code is now up on the code page, though you may be able to just select the section at the top and paste into your post writer.
  • If you have Header Graphics you’d like to submit, send them to headergraphics@weekendkindness.net Yes, we know, long e-mail address, but it’s set up and running.

All week 1 participants are automatically added to the blogroll!

WK 1: Let’s Start it off with an Easy One

New Here? Check the FAQ for information about how this works…

Our mission for this week is to write a blog post on your blog with our code or at least our Technorati tags that talks about a time in the past that someone was kind to you in a way that touched you personally. You can use our code or just make sure to have our Technorati tags in your post, and we’ll make sure to link to you on Monday morning.

Here’s How it Works

Welcome to Weekend Kindness!

Each week, the thoughtful people behind Weekend Kindness will suggest an activity for you to perform this weekend and then report on your blog. The idea here is that if there are multiple people doing the same types of things, it will be interesting to see how different people respond, in which way they took the suggestion and whether they would have done this themselves or will ever try this again.

You do have a choice to make, though. You can choose to do this mission and be placed in the “Mission Participant’s” section or you can choose to do some other kindness and be placed in the “General Paricipant’s” section. We’ll find you in Technorati, so make sure you use our code or put our tags in your post so we can find you!

Here’s the schedule:

Each Wednesday we will post the weekend mission. If you comment to that post, you will have a chance to be placed on the blog roll if we find that you have accomplished your task.

Each Friday the comments for the Wednesday post will be closed, and we’ll list the people in a post who said they would be participating so that you can see who is up for what challenge.

Each Monday, we will post links to all of those who completed a Weekend Kindness over the weekend and place people on the blogroll based on whether they let us know they would be doing it, how often they participate.

In the future, look for us to come up with more features and ideas (we’re always open to new ideas) and of course– go out there and be kind!
